"Enter, Rejoice, and Come In!" You need not be a member, you need not recite a creed. Simply bring your whole self, as you are!

Our worship services are the soul of the church – a time in which we renew our sense of wonder; express our gratitude for life and its many blessings; and heighten our understanding of ourselves, our neighbors, and our world. There is a rich variety of format and content. We hope that you will join us soon at a Sunday worship service.

When can I visit?  Services are held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings from September to May. (Summer services are lay-led, i.e., without a minister, and are held at 9 a.m.) All visitors are warmly welcomed at the door; you will not encounter any restrictions on belief, participation, or attire, and we encourage you to stay after the service for an 11:30 coffeehour to chat and learn more about our UU church. Children of any age are welcome during services, and may join the other kids in the Sunday school classes if they wish.

May I attend just on a religious holiday?  You are welcome anytime! Check our listings for holidays of note: Unitarian Universalism celebrates theological diversity. We may choose to celebrate Christian holidays like Easter and Christmas, Jewish holidays like Channukah and Purim, and secular holidays like Martin Luther King Jr. Day, recognising the wisdom inherent in all teachings.

What is Coffee Hour?  If you visit, please stay for coffee and conversation! We expect visitors to have questions and we welcome your interest. Unitarian Universalism is quite different from what many churchgoers (or non-churchgoers) expect; many of our members came from other faith traditions and can explain the differences to you in their own words. Also, the most important part of a community is its people, so come see if we're your kind of people!

If coming from Route 3, follow signs for Rt 123 East; at the 3A rotary in Scituate, take the 3rd exit onto Country Way, and take a right onto First Parish Rd at the first light.
If coming from points north via Route 3A, head into Scituate and take a left at the light at the High School/Town Hall complex, onto First Parish Rd, and continue straight through the light at the Country Way intersection.

We are just ahead on the left on a rise; enter at the near end of the circular drive. You'll find visitor parking reserved at the front of the church.

Accessibility  The building has an accessible entry and restroom, and we have headsets for the hard of hearing. We try to avoid allergens in our refreshments but cannot completely guarantee the ingredients of homebaked goods.

A note about entry  The Erdman Preschool only is accessed via the back door. Please access the church at the front. The door is locked between public events, so just ring the bell or call.

Local attractions  If you'd like to explore town, or grab a bite to eat, take a left out of the First Parish church parking lot, and bear left at the town common (keeping the common on your right). This is Beaver Dam Rd, which you can follow directly to the ocean. It leads southward onto Front Street, where you can find shops and restaurants (parking is easiest in the big lot along the harbor wall, on Cole Parkway). The northern road along the harbor is Jericho Rd, which you can take to the Cedar Point Lighthouse park.

Our "Sloop Room" is used by families, non-profits, Scouts, and other groups for non-church events. You can expect plenty of seating and workshopping space, on-site parking, accessible entry and restroom, and wifi.

If you'd like to rent the "Sloop Room" church space for a meeting or other event, or book the room for a non-profit gathering, please contact the office for scheduling and details. We have a single large open space with attached catering kitchen and accessible restroom. (The sanctuary is only used for parish events or ceremonies). On-site parking. Wifi.
